Final report for the night. Spencer ate
1/2 grilled cheese sandwich and a ice cream sandwich tonight for supper and
has not been complaining about any stomach discomfort. We are believing that
his stomach issues were caused by the laxative he was on rather than the
chemo. He is chillin' watching a couple of his favorite TV shows, 24
and CSI. The following document is the petition that Tim and Lisa Neher,
beloved WOLC family members. Cathy and I feel this is ordained from God and
will be a key when we look back when this journey is over. Also continue to
pray for Spencer for his back pain. His back popped yesterday when he got
out up and it is still bothering him.
PETITION
March 20 - 5:00 pm
We have had a bit of busy time since the last
update but all is going well. We have been visited by the chaplain, the
nutritionist and the child life counselor. After visiting with the chaplain,
he thanked us for ministering to him which made us feel pretty good! Spencer
spent a little time on MS Messenger chatting with his friends. I think that
lifted his spirits a bit. Also we received a couple of cards and
packages. Thanks! Spencer is feeling much better this afternoon and gave the
child life counselor a couple of smiles! Getting ready to decide what to eat
for supper.
March 20 - 2:30 pm
Spencer is resting well this afternoon. He is
feeling bit better and is currently taking another treatment.
March 20 - 11:00 am
It has been a bit of a rough morning for Spence
but he will overcome. He was suffering some of the side effects from the
treatments but is doing better now. He is sitting up and resting. Pray that
Spencer continues to focus on the healing rather than what is happening in
the now.
March 20 - 7:30 am
We serve a great God. As I prayed the new day in
last night, I asked God specifically to give me at least six hours of sleep.
When I rolled over and looked at the alarm clock it was nearly 7:00 am. I
only woke up once, that being at 4:50 because God prompted me to pray for
the treatment that started at 5:00 am. Enough about me, let's get to Spence.
His blood report was waiting when I arrived at his room. Cathy and I are
rejoicing because the numbers continue to go in correct direction. The bad
cells are decreasing at a quick rate and the good cells, although they are
decreasing are decreasing at a slow rate. We don't think he will have a
transfusion today. Again, Spencer has 1 hour left on the current treatment
and will undergo two treatments beginning at 2:00 pm this afternoon. Since
it is raining in Memphis this morning, I had to jog the two blocks to the
hospital. On my way, God said tell everyone to keep running the race. That
is exactly what we intend to do!
